The front centre of the hood has five easy push buttons. Here you will find the off button, three speed settings and also your lighting button. This hood is fitted with two halogen lights, illuminating your cooking space with bright, pure white light. The benefits to this hood having halogen lighting means they will last longer and also use less electricity than the traditional incandescent light bulbs.
Extract or re-circulate?
This cooker hood boasts of extraction up to 445 cubic meters per hour - making it ideal for larger kitchens. The grease filter is aluminium so that it's easy to clean and dishwasher safe. You can choose to either extract the steamy air or re-circulate it.
Please note - This hood is top venting . The vent is located within the lower section of the chimney, the flexible pipe can be turned at 90 degrees to vent out of the wall at any point.

Extracting the air - Odours, grease, smoke and steam are extracted from the kitchen to the outside of your house via ducting. This highly effective method requires a vent through an outside wall which can be expensive to install. To help keep costs down, we've included a 150mm diameter flexible hose that extends to 2m. If you have ducting already in place from an existing hood but of a different diameter, you can reuse it and connect to this cooker with the 120-150mm adaptor that also comes supplied.
Recirculating the air- Odours, grease and smoke are drawn through a series of filters, before releasing the purified air back into the kitchen. This method benefits from low installation costs and can be used in almost all kitchens. For optimum performance you will need to replace your carbon filters every 3 months. If you decide you want the air to re-circulate then you simply need to purchase 1 x twin pack of carbon filters - eIQCF110 .
Question from Mh23Brum: Asked on 12/01/2016 I bought a Screwfix 90cm curved glass cooker hood SY-3388C2-P- C- 900 a few years ago and the light switch has stopped workig ad one of the lamp units is cracked. This model appears to be identical. Could I use it to just replace the fan unit of the Screwfix one without having to re install a flue?
