Hi Rachel,You can use a window kit with your electriQ EcoSilent 10000 BTU portable AC, even for a top-opening window. Standard kits may not fit perfectly, so use a universal seal kit or a flat panel that you can trim to size. Make sure it fits the AC’s exhaust hose (about 13–15?cm). You can also make a custom panel from PVC or foam board for a tight seal.Thanks!

Hi, The supplied window kit is designed for sliding or sash windows and is not intended for outward-opening (casement) windows. While the unit itself can still be used with a casement window, an alternative window sealing solution will be required to properly vent the unit.
