Question from Chris:Asked on 27/05/2026What do you burn on the heater
Answer from JoseBacud:Answered on 28/05/2026
Hi Chris,You burn dry seasoned wood logs in the electriQ Smokeless Firepit, as it is designed for wood-burning fires and works best with dry hardwood to reduce smoke. Thanks!
Question from Debbie:Asked on 25/04/2026Does it get hot at the bottom will it leave burn marks on my slabs
Answer from JoseBacud:Answered on 30/04/2026
Hi Debbie,The electriQ smokeless fire pit does get hot underneath when in use, and although most of the heat is directed upwards, the base can still become hot enough to damage or mark patio slabs. If it is placed directly on slabs, there is a risk of discolouration or even cracking over time, especially with prolonged use. To prevent this, it’s best to place it on a heat-resistant mat, a protective base, or a layer of gravel or concrete pavers. Thanks!
Question from Sally:Asked on 11/04/2026in the instructions it talks about adjusting the ventilation ports to control burn rate - please can you explain how this is done? I can't see anywhere to adjust anything
Answer from JoseBacud:Answered on 15/04/2026
Hi Sally,On the electriQ smokeless fire pit, there aren’t any actual adjustable vents or sliders you can move, so the “ventilation ports” mentioned in the instructions don’t refer to a physical control. Instead, the fire pit is designed so air naturally flows in through the gaps at the base and between the inner and outer walls, and this airflow feeds the fire and helps create the secondary burn that reduces smoke. Because of this, the burn rate isn’t adjusted with a mechanism, but by how you set up and manage the fire itself—for example, using smaller, loosely stacked logs with more air space will make it burn hotter and faster, while larger, tightly arranged logs will slow the burn down. Thanks!
